How to Interpret Dreams

On the night before their twenty-fifth anniversary, Chloe dreamt that her husband Charles rode up to her on his motorcycle and presented her with a beautifully wrapped box.

Inside the box was another box.

Inside that box was another box.

And inside that was another box.

And in that box was a lovely silver ring.

In the morning, she told Charles all about the dream.

That evening, after a lovely candlelit dinner, Charles presented Chloe with a box—maybe not quite so beautifully wrapped, but it did have a bow—and, no, there was no motorcycle either.

Inside the box was another box.

Inside that box was another box.

And inside that was yet another box.
