Adjustable Coverage for Young Riders
The O'Neal Youth Split Chest Protector, part 0458-100, combines lightweight injected-plastic panels with bio-foam padding for a comfortable riding layer. Its slim profile can be worn over or underneath a jersey.
Construction and Ventilation
Ventilated construction helps air move around the rider, while padded contact areas soften the feel of the protective panels. Detachable front and rear sections provide configuration options according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Protection
O'Neal states that the front and back are certified to EN 14021. The design accommodates use with a neck brace; check the fit of your particular brace and protector together.
Fit and Adjustment
Multiple shoulder-pad adjustments and an adjustable waist closure help position the protector securely. Fit it with the riding clothing and other equipment the child will use, then check comfortable reach and movement in the riding position. Fasten the closures so the protector stays in place without restricting breathing or movement.
