Race-developed aerodynamics

Shoei refined the X-Fifteen through extensive wind-tunnel development and more than 150 profile iterations. Compared with the X-Fourteen reference model, Shoei reports 6.1% less drag and 1.6% less lift in its internal testing. The shell stabilizer and sculpted contours are designed to help manage airflow and maintain stability in a tucked riding position.

AIM+ shell and impact management

• Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus (AIM+) shell construction combines fiberglass and high-performance organic fibers.
• Multi-piece, multi-density EPS liner is designed to absorb impact energy while directing cooling air through internal channels.
• Emergency Quick Release System (E.Q.R.S.) lets trained emergency personnel remove the cheek pads to assist helmet removal.

Ventilation and field of view

• Seven closable intake vents and six exhaust outlets work with internal channels to move air through the helmet.
• Additional cheek-pad airflow helps cool the rider in a race tuck.
• The eyeport trajectory is revised to provide 5 mm more upper field of view than the X-Fourteen.
• The CWR-F2R shield uses Shoei's 3D injection-molding process for a clear, distortion-controlled view and blocks 99% of UV rays.
• A center lock and racing shield lock help secure the shield. The shield system accepts the DKS-304 Pinlock EVO insert; an anti-fog sheet is included.

Adjustable comfort interior

The 3D Max-Dry Custom Interior System II is removable, washable, adjustable, and replaceable. Its independently adjustable center-pad components and removable pad layers allow riders to fine-tune the fit. Shoei states that the Max-Dry liner material dissipates moisture twice as fast as traditional nylon interior material. The cheek-pad surface area is 16.5% larger than the X-Fourteen design.

The US-market X-Fifteen is certified to DOT FMVSS No. 218, Snell M2025R, and ECE R22.06 standards. Certification requirements vary by market; use the certification marking on your helmet to confirm its approved standard.

Solid color choices

Choosing your size

Measure the circumference of your head just above your eyebrows and ears, then compare the measurement with Shoei's size chart shown in the product images. Head shape and personal fit affect sizing, so try the helmet on when possible. It should feel evenly snug without painful pressure points. A new helmet's liner will settle with use.
