The Shoei RF-1400 Yonder combines the RF-1400's road-focused engineering with the TC-2 black, white and light blue graphic. Built for street riders and sport-touring trips, it brings together a compact full-face design, carefully managed airflow and a comfortable interior for frequent use.
Engineered for the Road
The RF-1400 is a fixed-chin-bar, full-face helmet with Shoei's Multi-Ply Matrix AIM+ shell, a dual-layer, multi-density EPS liner and DOT certification. It is also Snell certified; check the label on the individual helmet for its certification edition. The Emergency Quick Release System lets trained responders remove the cheek pads to assist helmet removal.
Shoei Research and Comfort Engineering
Shoei used its own wind tunnel to refine airflow around the shell and through the helmet. This development balances aerodynamic stability, cooling and noise control for everyday street riding and longer trips. Shield-side vortex generators, sealing around the eyeport and substantial cheek padding work together to reduce turbulence and wind noise.
What Has Improved Over the RF-1200
- More efficient aerodynamics: Shoei reports 6% less lift and 4% less drag in its comparison testing.
- Revised ventilation: a relocated forehead vent with an additional intake and a larger rear exhaust improve airflow.
- Updated shield system: the CWR-F2 adds a center lock and revised base plates for balanced closing pressure.
Ventilation and Interior
Six intake openings and four exhaust outlets help move cooling air through the helmet. The 3D Max-Dry System II interior is removable and washable, making it easier to freshen up after repeated rides. Removable ear pads help reduce noise, while optional replacement padding allows fit adjustments within Shoei's approved combinations.
CWR-F2 Shield and Fog Control
The CWR-F2 shield combines a flat exterior with a shaped inner surface for clear vision. Its center locking mechanism helps pull the shield evenly against the eyeport seal. The included Pinlock EVO insert adds fog resistance when correctly installed. A compatible CWR-F2 Transitions photochromic shield is available separately for riders who want an external shield that adapts to light.
Communication Compatibility
The RF-1400 is compatible with the Sena SRL-EXT communication system, sold separately. Follow the headset's RF-1400 installation instructions for speaker, microphone and cable placement.
Included Accessories
- Pinlock EVO anti-fog insert

Size Chart and Fit
| Size | Head circumference |

| Small | 55-56 cm |

Wrap a soft measuring tape horizontally around the widest part of your head, about one inch above the eyebrows. If you fall between sizes, Shoei recommends trying the smaller size first. The chart is a starting point: the crown and cheeks should fit snugly without painful pressure. Fasten the strap and check that the helmet moves your skin when gently turned and cannot roll off forward or backward. Try-on fit matters as much as the measurement.
Manufacturer Warranty
Shoei covers manufacturing defects for five years from purchase or seven years from manufacture, whichever comes first. Damage caused by the user, including dropping the helmet, is excluded. Keep your receipt for warranty support.
