Use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto without plugging in your phone
The Quad Lock Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Adaptor converts a compatible vehicle's existing wired connection into a wireless one. Plug the adaptor into the vehicle's CarPlay or Android Auto USB port, pair your phone once, and it can reconnect automatically when the vehicle starts. It is a convenient upgrade for drivers who want to leave the phone in a pocket or bag while using maps, music, calls, and supported messaging on the vehicle display.
Features and benefits
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto: Use the wired infotainment features already built into a compatible vehicle without connecting the phone by cable each trip.
- Automatic reconnection: After pairing, the adaptor reconnects the last paired phone when the vehicle starts.
- Pair multiple phones: The last paired phone connects automatically. Switch phones through the phone's Bluetooth settings.
- Simple USB setup: The adaptor uses a USB-A input and includes plug adaptors for common USB-A and USB-C vehicle ports.
- Compact housing: A lightweight PC/ABS enclosure keeps the adaptor discreet near the vehicle's infotainment USB port.
Compatibility
Your vehicle or aftermarket head unit must already support wired Apple CarPlay or wired Android Auto. The adaptor does not add CarPlay or Android Auto to a system that lacks those functions. Quad Lock lists compatibility with vehicles manufactured from 2016 onward and aftermarket infotainment systems that support wired CarPlay or Android Auto. It is not compatible with BMW vehicles or Sony aftermarket head units. Check your vehicle and phone compatibility before ordering.
What's included
- Quad Lock Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Adaptor
- USB-A to USB-C plug adaptor, straight

Setup
Start the vehicle and turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone. Plug the adaptor into the USB port designated for wired CarPlay or Android Auto, then follow the pairing prompt on your phone and vehicle display. If the vehicle has multiple USB ports, check the owner's manual to identify the port used for wired phone projection.
