Make Brake Bleeding a One-Person Job
The Motion Pro Hydraulic Brake Bleeder uses an internal one-way check valve to let old brake fluid and trapped air flow out while helping prevent air from being drawn back into the system. Its compact billet-aluminum body and clear tubing make routine motorcycle brake maintenance cleaner, easier to monitor and manageable by one person.
Key Features
- Motion Pro part number 08-0143
- Billet-aluminum valve body with an internal one-way check valve
- Helps prevent air from re-entering the hydraulic system during bleeding
- Clear 3/16-inch inside-diameter tubing lets you watch fluid flow and air bubbles
- Flow-direction arrow on the valve body aids correct setup
- Compact design works with motorcycle and ATV hydraulic brake systems
- Includes bleeder valve, clear tubing, hose clamp and instructions
Basic Use
- Fit one clear hose to each end of the tool and connect the inlet hose to the caliper bleeder valve.
- Route the outlet hose into a suitable brake-fluid catch container. The arrow should point from the caliper toward the catch container.
- Keep the tool vertical and prime it as directed before beginning the bleed process.
- Open the bleeder approximately one-half turn, operate the brake lever or pedal and keep the master-cylinder reservoir filled with the manufacturer-recommended fluid.
- Continue until the fluid is clean and no air bubbles remain, then tighten the bleeder to the vehicle manufacturer’s specification.
Important: This tool will not remove air from a completely dry hydraulic system. An appropriate wrench is still required to open and close the vehicle’s bleeder screw. Always follow the motorcycle or ATV manufacturer’s service instructions and brake-fluid specification.
Brake fluid caution: Brake fluid can irritate eyes and damage painted surfaces. Wear suitable protection, contain spills and rinse affected painted surfaces immediately with water.
