The first thing you’ll notice about the D3O Ghost armor is how impossibly thin it is. Thinner than most pancakes, in fact, at only 6.5mm. For a more objective reference: that’s a little shy of a stack of 4 quarters.
D3O accomplishes this by 3D printing it’s miracle orange material onto a die-cut sheet of Lycra. This allows the company to put the impact-absorbing magical (aka: non-Newtonian ) material exactly where it needs to go, while leaving plenty of space to allow for flexibility and airflow.
