Advant X Carbon

Description

The LS2 Advant X Carbon in matte woven carbon brings a lightweight carbon construction to a versatile touring helmet. Its chin bar rotates 180 degrees to the rear, while a separate internal sun visor and adjustable ventilation help you adapt to a changing day on the road.

Matte Woven Carbon Finish

This version displays a regular woven carbon pattern beneath a low-gloss matte finish. The understated surface shows the carbon construction without a bright polished shine.

Carbon Construction and Safety

The shell and chin bar use carbon-fiber construction. Two shell sizes cover the range, with a multi-density EPS liner designed to manage impact energy. The Advant X Carbon meets DOT FMVSS 218 and ECE 22.06, with P/J approval for both open-face and full-face configurations.

180-Degree Modular Design

The chin bar rotates fully to the rear of the helmet, giving you an open-face configuration without leaving the bar above your forehead. A micrometric metal buckle secures the reinforced chin strap. Emergency-release cheek pads are designed to assist helmet removal when needed.

Shield and Sun Protection

The quick-release outer shield is scratch-resistant and UV-resistant. A Pinlock MaxVision anti-fog insert is included, and the integrated drop-down sun visor helps manage glare as light conditions change. Retract the tinted sun visor for nighttime riding or poor visibility.

Ventilation and Comfort

Adjustable intake vents, rear exhaust ports and channels in the EPS liner move air through the helmet. The removable, washable comfort liner helps manage moisture, while laser-cut cheek-pad foam supports an even fit. Try the helmet on long enough to check crown contact and cheek pressure before choosing your size.

Communication-System Readiness

Built-in speaker recesses accommodate a compatible communication system, sold separately. LS2 specifies adhesive mounting for its LS2 Intercom on the Advant X Carbon. Follow the system's installation instructions and confirm that the speakers and wiring do not alter the helmet's fit.

Before You Select a Size: Helmet-Fit Facts

A helmet is one of the most important pieces of riding gear you will choose, and the size printed on the label is only a starting point. Head circumference, head shape, crown contact, cheek-pad pressure and the retention system all affect whether a helmet fits correctly. Two helmets marked the same size can fit very differently, even within the same brand.

  • Measure around the widest part of your head, keeping the tape level and approximately one inch above your eyebrows.
  • A new helmet should feel evenly snug around the entire head without sharp or painful pressure points.
  • When you move the helmet gently from side to side, your skin should move with the liner rather than the helmet sliding independently.
  • Fasten the retention system and confirm that the helmet cannot roll forward or lift off the head.
  • Wear the helmet for several minutes before deciding. Comfort padding may settle with use, but an incorrect shell shape or painful pressure point is unlikely to be solved by choosing blindly.

Why Come to Eagle Leather for a Helmet Fitting?

Our staff is trained to help with helmet fitting and can help you compare head shape, size, pressure points and retention across different models. Inventory changes daily, but Eagle Leather consistently carries many hundreds of helmets, often approaching 1,000 units, across half-shell, open-face, modular, adventure and full-face styles. That selection gives you the opportunity to compare brands and internal shapes instead of relying on a size label alone.

For such an important piece of riding gear, we encourage you to visit Eagle Leather for an in-person fitting before selecting a size without trying the helmet on.
