The designers at LS2 took a popular concept, 180 degree flip, and designed a totally new and unique mechanism, allowing the Valiant to be the smallest, lightest helmet of its kind on the market. If the weather is cold, use it as a full-face. Easily flip the chin bar back to talk to your friends. As things warm up, use it as a ¾ open face helmet. No matter how you have it configured, you still get the benefit of a face shield and LS2’s Twin Shield System drop-down internal sun shield. The FogFighter treated fog resistant shield is optically correct, as well as scratch resistant. The comfort padding uses LS2’s Thermo-Form lining. Thermo Form uses heat and pressure to weld the outer material to the inner foam. This avoids the need for glues and other chemicals, and allows the breathable fabric to stay breathable. The liner is removable, washable and hypoallergenic. Fully adjustable dynamic ventilation allows airflow to keep you cool, and control to keep you comfortable. Unlike traditional venting systems that send air to the outside of a liner, the direct core vents send air directly to the wearers body and is therefore more effective. when the weather changes from good to bad, all you have to do is zip a few waterproof vents shut, to keep riding. No more zipping in a separate waterproof liner. Unlike traditional venting systems that send air to the outside of a liner, the direct core vents send air directly to the wearers body and is therefore more effective. when the weather changes from good to bad, all you have to do is zip a few waterproof vents shut, to keep riding. No more zipping in a separate waterproof liner. CARE INSTRUCTIONS
General CareICON® jackets are tough and designed to withstand a great deal of asphalt induced abuse, but no jacket can survive every conceivable motorcycle accident. Should the unfortunate occur and you crash in your Icon jacket thoroughly review the product for any signs of structural damage (major abrasion, holes, damaged seams, etc). Should there be any damage or if you are unsure if the damage is structural you should replace the jacket.
CleaningInsulated Liner - Hand wash the insulated liner in warm water with a mild liquid laundry detergent. Thoroughly rinse insulated liner with clean water to remove all detergent. Should you desire to clean the impact protectors they can be cleaned by wiping the protectors with a damp cloth. Jacket (Textile Areas) - Hand wash the jacket with warm water and a mild liquid laundry detergent. Hand washing minimizes unnecessary stress on the garment. A soft bristle toothbrush works well in helping to remove any bug strikes or road debris. Rinse the jacket with clean water to remove all detergent. DO NOT use any form of oxygenated detergent, bleach, fabric softeners, or dry cleaning chemicals. These items will damage the jacket!
DryingInsulated Liner - The insulated liner should be allowed to drip dry-only. DO NOT use a machine dryer, direct sunlight, hair dryers or any type of heater during the drying process. Jacket - DO NOT use a machine dryer. Subjecting the jacket to a machine dryer will damage the jacket and possibly the dryer itself. The only recommended method for drying the jacket is drip-drying. Do not subject the jacket to direct sunlight, hair dryers or any type of heater during the drying process. DO NOT use an iron on any part of the garment.
