The Annual Steeplechase Banquet[EDITOR'S NOTE:
We initially incorrectly reported the date of the banquet as January
14, 2013. The date has been corrected below. We apologize for any
inconvenience that this error may have contributed to.]
Now that
2012 has come to end, the Tacoma chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists
Association (CMA) is celebrating another successful steeplechase at
their annual awards banquet, to be held January 12. The banquet will
feature dinner and a reflection on the past year’s steeple stops. The
2012 drawing winners will also be announced and prizes will be awarded,
so if you participated in the steeplechase, you won’t want to miss the
event.
The annual steeplechase is a unique way to experience some
of the most scenic riding Washington has to offer. Steve Allen,
president of the Destiny Riders, Tacoma Chapter of Christian
Motorcyclists Association, explained, "These churches are selected to
provide riders the opportunity to travel on some of the most scenic
roads in Washington and into areas where they may not normally ride."
Proceeds
from the 2012 event will be donated to The Ministries of The Destiny
Riders. Open to all riders for only $15, the point of the adventure is
to stop at any number of 20 possible steeples located throughout the
state. Take a picture of you with your bike in front of the steep and
mail it in to the Tacoma CMA to earn a contest entry. Each stop is worth
an entry, and stopping at all 20 steeples earns an extra five entries!
You don’t need to be at the banquet in order to win, but it would
definitely make it more fun!
If you didn’t participate in the
2012 steeplechase, keep an eye out for information on the 2013 program.

banquet or 2013 stops.
