The Shoei J Cruise 3 is a premium open face touring helmet designed to give riders an expansive field of view, excellent airflow, refined aerodynamics, and the convenience of a built in sun visor. It is especially well suited to touring, commuting, scooter riding, and warm weather travel where open face freedom and serious engineering both matter.
Purpose built open face shell
The Advanced Integrated Matrix shell combines fiberglass and organic fibers to create a strong structure with controlled elasticity. Shoei shapes the shell in multiple sizes to reduce unnecessary bulk across the size range. A multi density EPS liner manages impact energy while also providing channels for ventilation.
Wind tunnel developed aerodynamics
Shoei used extensive wind tunnel testing to control lift, drag, and turbulence around the open face design. The integrated rear spoiler and smooth shell contours help keep the helmet stable in the moving air created by upright and touring motorcycles.
Major ventilation improvement
The redesigned upper ventilation system delivers substantially more airflow than the previous J Cruise generation. Shoei reports up to 70 percent greater ventilation performance. Multiple intake ports feed EPS channels that move cooling air over the head, while rear exhaust ports release warm, humid air.

QSV 2 internal sun visor
The enlarged internal sun visor provides about 5 millimeters more coverage than the earlier design and meets the demanding optical requirements of the EN1836 standard. An external slider makes it easy to deploy or retract with a gloved hand. The sun visor stores inside a dedicated space so protective EPS thickness is maintained.
Premium interior and fit tuning
The fully removable and washable interior uses moisture managing fabric and a three dimensional shape for secure support. Shoei’s top pocket system allows additional fit adjustment at the crown. Replaceable cheek pads and center pads make it possible to refresh or fine tune the fit over time.
Communication ready
The Shoei Comlink interface is designed for clean integration with the optional Sena SRL3 communication system. Speakers, microphone, battery, and controls can be positioned with minimal external bulk.
