The RF-1500 brings together aerodynamic research, impact-management materials and careful attention to the way a helmet fits. Shoei uses six outer shell sizes across the XS through 3XL range to maintain a proportional profile, rather than relying on one oversized shell for every rider. Wind-tunnel development shapes how air moves around the helmet as well as through it, balancing stability, ventilation and everyday usability.

Wind-Tunnel Aerodynamics and Ventilation

Shoei reports 13% less lift and 3% less drag than the RF-1400 in its wind-tunnel testing. Reduced aerodynamic forces help the helmet feel more composed as speed increases. The shield's vortex generators also help manage airflow around the helmet.

Four centralized upper intake vents, an integrated Shoei-logo upper vent design and redesigned dual lower intakes bring cooling air into the helmet. A wind-tunnel-developed upper exhaust helps draw warm air out. Large vent controls make adjustment easier with gloves. Shoei's tests measured 90% more upper intake airflow and 40% more lower intake airflow than the RF-1400.

These percentages are manufacturer reference values measured at Shoei's wind-tunnel facility against the RF-1400. Actual airflow and aerodynamic feel vary with riding position, motorcycle, windscreen and conditions.

CWR-F2 Shield and Fog Management

The CWR-F2 shield provides 99% UV protection and an enlarged center lock for easier gloved operation. Fine-tune base plate adjustment helps maintain a precise seal against the helmet's window beading. The included Pinlock EVO anti-fog lens installs inside the shield to help keep your view clear when temperature and humidity change.

The helmet uses an external face shield and does not have a drop-down internal sun visor. Optional tinted shields shown in some riding photographs are sold separately. Follow the helmet manual when installing the anti-fog lens or adjusting the shield.

Comfort, Fit and Communication Readiness

The 3D Max-Dry Interior System II uses moisture-wicking materials to help manage perspiration. Its removable, washable lining makes regular cleaning easier, and contoured cheek pads support a secure fit. Compatibility with Shoei's Personal Fitting System allows a participating fitting specialist to refine the fit around your head.

Integrated COMLINK speaker pockets and internal routing accommodate popular Bluetooth and mesh communication systems. The communication system is sold separately; confirm the chosen unit's installation requirements before purchase.

Solid Colors and Finishes

Choose Matte Black or Matte Blue for a low-gloss look, Gloss Black for a polished classic, or White, Chalk Grey, Shine Red or Basalt Grey for a different solid-color style. Matte Blue is Shoei's Matte Radiant Blue, and Gloss Black corresponds to Shoei's Black finish. Lighting and screen settings can affect how colors appear.

Shoei RF-1500 Size Chart

Measure head circumference with a soft tape held horizontally approximately 1 inch above your eyebrows. Move it slightly to find the largest measurement. Use the chart as a starting point, then try the helmet on to confirm fit.

Size availability: Shoei's current U.S. catalog lists 3X-Large in Matte Black and White only. Other finishes are cataloged in X-Small through 2X-Large.

If you measure between sizes, Shoei recommends trying the smaller size first. A correct fit feels snug around the crown and cheeks without painful pressure points. With the chin strap fastened, the helmet should pull the skin as you move it gently and should not rotate freely or roll off. A size chart cannot replace an in-person fit check.

Shoei Warranty

Shoei covers manufacturing defects for five years from purchase or seven years from manufacture, whichever comes first. Coverage applies to new helmets purchased through authorized Shoei dealers in the customer's own country. Damage from drops, impacts or misuse is not covered. Keep your proof of purchase and follow Shoei's warranty registration and claim instructions.
