CARE INSTRUCTIONS
General Care
ICON® jackets are tough and designed to withstand a great deal of asphalt induced abuse, but no jacket can survive every conceivable motorcycle accident. Should the unfortunate occur and you crash in your Icon jacket thoroughly review the product for any signs of structural damage (major abrasion, holes, damaged seams, etc). Should there be any damage or if you are unsure if the damage is structural you should replace the jacket. Most Icon textile jackets use a coating on the shell material which reinforces the overall fabric matrix. Improper cleaning of the jacket could compromise the integrity of this coating leading to material failure. Unnecessary exposure to Sunlight and UV rays should be avoided. This is most critical when storing your jacket. Always store your jacket in a dark, well ventilated area. Jackets are best hung on a wide padded hanger. Do not wrap in plastic or other nonporous materials as this may cause the fabric to discolor. Finally, avoid exposing your jacket (or any of your riding gear) to fumes or vapors from gasoline or any harsh chemicals. These fumes weaken the structure of nylon and polyester textiles lessening their inherent protective capabilities.
Pre-Cleaning
It is important to follow a few simple steps to prepare your jacket for washing. Remove the insulated liner from the jacket (if so equipped). When removing the liner unsnap each snap carefully - DO NOT apply excessive force - as this may break the snap. Remove all impact protectors from the jacket. Make sure to close and fasten all the pocket flaps.
Cleaning
Insulated Liner - Hand wash the insulated liner in warm water with a mild liquid laundry detergent. Thoroughly rinse insulated liner with clean water to remove all detergent. Should you desire to clean the impact protectors they can be cleaned by wiping the protectors with a damp cloth. Jacket (Textile Areas) - Hand wash the jacket with warm water and a mild liquid laundry detergent. Hand washing minimizes unnecessary stress on the garment. A soft bristle toothbrush works well in helping to remove any bug strikes or road debris. Rinse the jacket with clean water to remove all detergent. DO NOT use any form of oxygenated detergent, bleach, fabric softeners, or dry cleaning chemicals. These items will damage the jacket!
Drying
Insulated Liner - The insulated liner should be allowed to drip dry-only. DO NOT use a machine dryer, direct sunlight, hair dryers or any type of heater during the drying process. Jacket - DO NOT use a machine dryer. Subjecting the jacket to a machine dryer will damage the jacket and possibly the dryer itself. The only recommended method for drying the jacket is drip-drying. Do not subject the jacket to direct sunlight, hair dryers or any type of heater during the drying process. DO NOT use an iron on any part of the garment.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEAD SIZE
To determine where you fall on SHOEI's sizing chart (as a starting point for proper helmet fit), pass a soft, flexible tape measure horizontally around your head at a height of approximately one inch (2.5cm) above your eyebrows (the largest measurement around your forehead).
Select the helmet size that is closest to your head measurement from the sizing guidelines above. If your head measurement falls between two helmet sizes, first try on the smaller of the two helmets.
THE PERFECT FIT
No helmet can protect the wearer against all unforeseeable high- and low-speed impacts. However, to help maximize head protection, the helmet must fit properly, and the retention system must be securely fastened under the chin. Failure to ride with a proper fitting helmet and securely fastened chinstrap is dangerous, as the helmet could come off during an accident, resulting in severe head trauma or death.

We took our experience using waterproof / breathable laminated fabrics, and crafted a light weight seam sealed jacket with large direct core vents that can be used when it's warm or when it gets cold and wet. Unlike traditional venting systems that send air to the outside of a liner, the direct core vents send air directly to the wearers body and is therefore more effective. when the weather changes from good to bad, all you have to do is zip a few waterproof vents shut, to keep riding. No more zipping in a separate waterproof liner. What Is Heavy Duty LP?
An industrial strength leather preservative paste best used for conditioning full grain leather, top grain, and nubuck. Made with natural oils, beeswax, and propolis to create a smooth cream/paste that melts when applied by hand. The beeswax, in our leather preservative, provides a protective barrier on the outside, while the natural oils are absorbed into the leather. A true leather preservative and conditioner, Heavy Duty LP restores lost oils, provides protection from moisture and dirt while still allowing leather to breathe.

Originally developed for severe working conditions of Wild-land Firefighters to preserve leather boots and provide heavy duty protection, naturally! Wild-land Firefighters boots are subjected to heat, steam, wet ashes, and fire retardants. If left untreated (without leather preservative), these conditions can ruin expensive boots faster. Obenauf's® Heavy Duty leather preservative paste provides a beeswax barrier to resist heat, chemicals, and moisture while replacing lost oils.

Description
All patches feature a heat- sealed backing. This means that our patches may be ironed on or sewn on to most clothing easily.
Patch Sewing Instructions:
Note: Sewing by hand will give you greater control and is easier than trying to use a sewing machine when sewing into leather. Sewing on a patch will leave permanent holes on your jacket to please be careful about placement before you start.
Identify where you want the patch and outline the area with tailor’s chalk
Using a sewing pick, pick open the bottom seam of your garment lining just enough to allow your hand to fit inside the garment
Position your inside hand so it is resting flat between the lining and outlines area
Use your outside had to position the patch, you can lightly spray leather adhesive on the area to hold the patch, however this is not a permanent adhesive
Begin threading your upholstery needle using a strong nylon thread that matches your patch, use your thimble to push the needle through the leather moving from inside the item to the outside
This will allow the knot to be on the inside of the item, then pull the needle through and out with your outside hand and back down through the patch and leather
Continue this pattern all around the patch, keeping stitches close together and to the end of the patch for the most secure attachment
Once you have gotten back to where you started, send the needle through the first stitch, and loop it around a few times to make a finishing knot
Finally restitch the garments lining and your all set
Patch Iron-on Instructions:
Preheat your iron to 325-335 degrees. Do Not Use Steam
Press the area where you want your patch to be for 25 seconds
Position the patch on the garment so that it is positioned where you would like it to be
Place a lightweight cloth over the patch, using a back-and-forth motion with medium pressure ron the area for 15 seconds
The iron should never come into direct contact with the patch
Carefully turn your garment inside out, using the same back and forth motion firmly iron the inside of the item where your patch is for about 1 minute
Turn the garment right side in once more, use your clean lightweight cloth to cover the patch
Iron the edges of the patch through the cloth to ensure they are thoroughly sealed
Let the garment cool completely before wearing

LS2 is a well-known brand in the motorcycle helmet industry, and their Valiant and Valiant II models were popular among riders for their modular design, ease of use, and affordability. However, the newer LS2 Advant has been recently released, and it comes with several improvements over its predecessor.
One of the biggest improvements of the LS2 Advant is its weight. The Advant is much lighter than the Valiant, making it more comfortable to wear for long periods. In fact, the Advant has a weight savings of 3oz over the Valiant II.
The Advant also has a redesigned shell, which reduces wind noise and improves aerodynamics. The chinbar on the Advant is now on a single pivot point, which offers smoother articulation of the chibar.
The Advant also comes with a helmet bag and backpack, smoke shield, clear shield and pinlock.
In terms of safety features, the LS2 Advant meets the DOT and ECE 22.06 safety standards.
Overall, the LS2 Advant is a significant improvement over the Valiant and Valiant II models. It's lighter, more aerodynamic, and has a better ventilation system. The upgraded interior and locking mechanism also make the helmet more comfortable and secure to wear. If you're in the market for a new modular helmet, the LS2 Advant is definitely worth considering.
