Eagle Leather's Valentine's Day Giveaway! Enter to Win!

We’re just past the holiday gift-giving season and heading for Valentine’s Day. It can be hard to find a suitable gift for your sweetheart. Eagle Leather is ready to help.

We’re having a giveaway drawing. Just come into the store and register. (One entry per customer per day, please, but no purchase is needed.) The prizes have been selected for their RQ (Romance Quotient) and they all have something to do with our waterfront.

You Could Win:

First Prize is an Argosy Murder Mystery Cruise and gourmet dinner. Set sail from Seattle for Blake Island where you’ll have a dinner that includes alder-baked salmon, Northwest stew, wild rice bread, polenta with wild mushroom ragout, salads, and blackberry crisp. You can participate in solving a mystery, following the clues and laughing along with the improv comics from Events on the Edge Productions, who will entertain you and keep you guessing. You’ll get a $200.00 gift certificate, which covers a cruise for two and extra for cocktails.

Second Prize is dinner and a movie, maybe the most romantic dinner and movie in Tacoma. You’ll get a $100.00 gift certificate to the Harbor Lights restaurant and a $50.00 gift certificate to The Grand Cinema. Harbor Lights overlooks Commencement Bay—you can eat outside in nice weather. Harbor Lights is a traditional seafood restaurant whose signature dish is the Captain’s Platter: A generous sampling of chilled Dungeness crab, Oregon bay shrimp and seared local oysters paired with golden fried wild Alaska salmon and cod, Alaska weathervane scallops, and ocean prawns. The Grand Cinema is Tacoma’s home for classic, foreign, independent, and local films. Friday through Sunday are Mimosa Evenings.

Third prize is a two-hour tour of the harbor on Destiny Harbor Tours. You’ll see: the Thea Foss Waterway, views of Tacoma and its bridges, Old Town, Brown’s Point; ships, tugs and the working Port of Tacoma, as well as the wildlife and history of Puget Sound. Eagle Leather will provide a gift certificate for the cruise and a “romantic picnic basket” with wine, crackers and cheese, chocolates and other goodies.

We’ll draw the winners at noon on Saturday, February 13, but you needn’t be there to win. You can use the gift certificates when you choose (within the terms of the certificates).
