Ideal for Winter Sports: Far-Infrared Heating: Utilizing far-infrared fiber heating elements across the entire back of the hand and fingers, these heated leather gloves are perfect for winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snowshoe walking, snowmobiling, hunting, ice fishing, sledding, motorcycle riding, cycling, and snow shoveling. Usage & Wash & Care & Warranty Directions for use: Be sure to remove the battery from the glove before charging. Charge the battery at room temperature for 4 hours before first use. While charging, the LED on the charger will turn red. When charging is complete, the LED on the charger will turn green. Carefully connect the power wire inside the glove battery compartment to the battery. Place the battery into the glove battery compartment and secure it in place with the Velcro at the top. Wash and Care: Remove the batteries from the gloves before cleaning or storing. Do not machine wash, machine dry, bleach, iron, or dry clean. Spot clean the gloves by hand using mild detergent. Air dry the gloves by laying them flat. Attention: Always remove the batteries from the gloves before charging. Do not drop, short circuit, or expose the gloves’s batteries to high temperatures. If the battery becomes swollen or deformed, please stop using it immediately. How to Prolong the Service Life of Heated Glove Lithium Battery: Avoid Full Discharge: Try not to fully discharge the battery before recharging. Lithium batteries tend to have a longer lifespan when they are not completely drained. Recharge the battery before it reaches a critically low level. Proper Charging: Use the recommended charger for your heated gloves and ensure you follow the manufacturer’s instructions for charging. Avoid overcharging the battery, as it can shorten its lifespan. Disconnect the charger once the battery is fully charged. Storage: If you won’t be using the heated gloves for an extended period, store the battery in a cool and dry place. It’s recommended to partially charge the battery (around 50%) before storing it. This helps to maintain the battery’s health during storage. Regular Use and Maintenance: Lithium batteries benefit from regular use. If possible, use the heated gloves and recharge the battery periodically, even during off-seasons. This helps in maintaining the battery’s capacity. Additionally, keep the battery and glove compartment clean and free from debris. Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, can negatively impact the battery’s performance and lifespan. Avoid exposing the battery to extreme heat or cold conditions. Battery Replacement: If you notice a significant decrease in the battery’s capacity or if it becomes swollen or damaged, it’s advisable to replace the battery with a new one from a reputable source.

What is heated motorcycle gear and how does it work?

Heated motorcycle gear is apparel with built-in heating elements that generate and distribute heat when powered, keeping riders warm during cold rides.

Is heated motorcycle gear safe to use?

Yes, heated motorcycle gear is safe when used according to the manufacturer's instructions. It operates at low voltages and includes safety features like fuses and temperature controls to prevent overheating.

Will using heated gear drain my motorcycle's battery?

Heated gear draws power from your motorcycle's electrical system, but most modern bikes can handle the extra load without draining the battery. To ensure compatibility, check your bike's manual or consult a professional.

Can I control the temperature of the heated gear?

Yes, you can control the temperature of heated motorcycle gear. Most gear comes with adjustable controls—ranging from simple on/off switches to digital thermostats with multiple heat settings—allowing you to set the heat level to your comfort preference.

Is heated gear waterproof or water-resistant?

Heated gear designed for outdoor use is typically water-resistant, but liners and some accessories may not be. Always check the care instructions for your specific gear to confirm.

How do I install orconnect heated gear to my motorcycle?

To install heated gear, connect the manufacturer's wiring harness to your motorcycle's battery to create a plug-in point for your gear. Ensure you use the correct fuse size to prevent damage to your motorcycle or gear. If you're unsure about the process, consult a professional.

Can I wear heated gear with other clothing layers?

Yes, heated gear is designed to be worn with other layers. For optimal warmth, wear it over a base layer and under your outer riding jacket or pants to effectively trap heat and keep you comfortable.

How do I maintain and clean heated motorcycle gear?

To maintain and clean heated motorcycle gear:

  • Disconnect Power Sources: Remove batteries or unplug from wiring harnesses.
  • Spot Cleaning: Use a damp cloth to clean dirty areas.
  • Hand Washing: Gently hand-wash some items with mild detergent if permitted.
  • Drying: Air dry only; do not wring or use a dryer unless specified.
  • Follow Instructions: Always adhere to the manufacturer's care guidelines.
Is heated gear available in different sizes and styles?

Yes, heated motorcycle gear comes in various sizes and styles for both men and women—including jackets, vests, gloves, pants, and insoles—to suit different preferences and riding needs.

Can I use heated gear with any motorcycle?

Yes, you can use heated gear with most motorcycles that have a 12-volt electrical system. However, check your bike's owner's manual to ensure the charging system can handle the additional load to prevent battery drain.

How long does battery-powered heated gear last on a single charge?

Battery-powered heated gear typically lasts 4–10 hours on low settings and 2–3 hours on high settings, depending on battery capacity. For extended use, consider carrying spare batteries.

Can I adjust the heat zones independently?

Generally, you can adjust the heat settings by individual items or controller channels, but not by specific heat zones within a single item. However, advancements in heated gear technology might make independent zone control available in the near future.

Is there a warranty on heated motorcycle gear?

Yes, warranties on heated motorcycle gear vary by brand and product type. Gloves and controllers typically have a 3-month warranty, while jackets, vests, and pants often come with 1- to 2-year warranties covering defects in materials and workmanship. Be sure to register your product and keep your purchase receipt.

What should I do if my heated gear stops working?

If your heated gear stops working:

  • Check Connections: Ensure all plugs and connectors are securely attached.
  • Inspect Power Sources: Verify that batteries are charged or that the wiring harness is properly connected.
  • Check Fuses: Examine in-line or electrical fuses and replace them if burned out; you may need a larger fuse based on the circuit's draw.
  • Look for Damage: Inspect wiring and components for signs of wear or damage.
  • Consult the Manual: Refer to the manufacturer's troubleshooting guide.
  • Contact Customer Support: If issues persist, reach out for professional assistance.
Can heated gear be repaired if damaged?

Yes, heated gear can sometimes be repaired depending on the damage. Contact the manufacturer or an authorized repair center for assistance. Do not attempt to repair electrical components yourself unless you are qualified.

Where can I purchase quality heated motorcycle gear?

You can purchase quality heated motorcycle gear from Eagle Leather or specialized motorcycle gear retailers. These shops offer a wide range of heated jackets, gloves, vests, and more to keep you protected, comfortable, and stylish on every ride.
