Dial in the fit. We professionally widen motorcycle vests by adding reinforced side expansion panels so you get more room without losing style or function.
What We Do
-
Add side panels to increase chest and waist room while maintaining the vest’s original look
-
Reinforce seams & lining for long-term durability on and off the bike
-
Finish work cleanly with binding that matches the original edge where possible
Options
-
Panel styles: solid leather inserts (most common), adjustable side-lace gussets, or stretch/accordion panels (when compatible)
-
Color/material: Black leather in stock; we can color-match or work with customer-supplied leather or textile when approved by our techs
-
Hardware: black or nickel grommets for side lacing (if selected)
Typical Expansion
-
+1" to +6" total at the chest/waist is common; larger increases are evaluated case-by-case
How It Works
-
Bring or ship your vest clean and dry.
-
Fit consult: we measure you (or review your measurements) and confirm expansion amount, panel style, and finish details.
-
Build: we open the side seams, install the new panels, rebuild the liner, and reinforce stress points.
-
Pickup or ship back after final QC and fitting.
What We Need From You
- Your chest measurement over a light layer and over your riding layer (if different)
- How much extra room you want, or simply request a target fit (snug / relaxed)
- If mailing in, include a note with contact info and any deadlines
Turnaround & Pricing
-
Turnaround: typically 3–10 business days depending on workload and complexity
-
Pricing: based on inches added, materials, and panel style. Request a quote before we begin.
Compatibility & Notes
- Works with most leather vests; many textiles are also possible after inspection
- Patches near the side seams may need to be moved (additional charge if required)
- Customer-supplied materials must be ride-worthy; we may decline items that won’t hold up
Care
- Wipe with a damp cloth; condition leather periodically
- Check laces or panel stitching occasionally for proper tension
Custom work is built to your specs and is generally final sale. Natural variations in leather and hand-finished details are normal.
