Coulda Woulda Shoulda

Over and over I told my brother to keep his helmet face shield down. Of course, he paid no attention. And of course, one day his face met the road. I visited him in the hospital.

He struggled to speak. Finally, I heard, “I di…did…wa…y,y,y.”

I took pity on him and said, “You can’t say I didn’t warn you.”
