About the role

Eagle Leather is the Pacific Northwest's largest motorcycle apparel and accessories retailer. We're hiring sales associates who can talk to riders the way riders want to be talked to. That means knowledge, patience, and respect for what gear actually does.

What you'll do all day

  • Help customers find and fit helmets, jackets, gloves, and boots
  • Answer real questions about real gear: armor placement, sizing tradeoffs, weather suitability, how textile holds up versus leather at 70 mph
  • Run the POS, process returns, handle special orders
  • Keep the floor stocked, organized, and looking like somewhere serious riders shop
  • Build relationships with regulars. Most of our customers come back.

What we'll train you on

  • Every product we carry: vendors, fit, materials, price points
  • Our POS system, ordering process, and alterations workflow
  • The history and quirks of brands like Sena, Cardo, Shoei, and more
  • How to read a customer in the first 30 seconds and adjust your approach

What you bring

  • Comfort talking to strangers about technical gear, every day, all day
  • Patience with first-time riders and depth for experienced ones
  • Willingness to spend 30 minutes fitting a helmet correctly, even if the customer wanted to be in and out
  • Self-motivation and ability to set personal goals alongside team goals
  • Comfort task-switching and managing multiple priorities at once
  • Basic computer skills (POS, email, inventory lookups)
  • Riding experience preferred. If you ride, you understand what we sell. If you don't, you'll need genuine interest in learning the gear deeply.

Helpful background (not required)

Candidates with experience in any of the following tend to ramp up faster:

  • Retail sales or customer service
  • Point-of-sale systems and cash handling
  • Merchandising or visual display
  • Inventory control or receiving
  • Web order fulfillment
  • Business-to-business or telephone sales
  • Supervising or training other employees

Schedule

We are open 7 days a week, with Friday through Sunday being our peak sales days. Our peak season ramps up in March and ramps down in September. Sales reps are scheduled with two weekdays off.

Physical: standing 6 to 8 hours per shift, lifting up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodations available where needed.

Pay and benefits

Compensation has three components, paid every pay period:

  • Hourly base: $17.13 per hour, paid for every hour worked
  • Commission: 2 percent on every sale you make, no caps
  • Monthly performance bonus: $50 to $1,400, based on the sales tier you reach each month

The structure is designed so what you take home reflects what you produce.
