Run through this list of things to consider packing besides clothing, food, and water if you’re riding to Sturgis—or anywhere a ways from home:
- Tool kit—for your own bike and for others as well—and utility knife, multi-tool, or Swiss army knife
- Tire fixes—tubeless tire plugger, tire patches, CO2 cartridges, or portable mini air compressor/electric pump
- Flares or emergency signs and a flashlight
- Tiedown straps and zip ties, baling wire, or electrical tape for the smaller stuff
- Fuses, spare bulbs, and battery cables
- Fuel bottle

- Eye protection and lip balm

- First aid kit
