A Little Humor
Al was getting ready to go to Sturgis. He was really worried about leaving his apartment for the Rally itself and the time it would take to ride to South Dakota and back. He was grousing about this to his friend, Pete.
“The last thing I want is to come home to find my apartment wrecked and my stuff missing,” Al said.
“I never worry about that,” Pete answered.
“Why not? We both live in neighborhoods that aren’t the safest in the world. And don’t tell me you don’t worry about it. I’ve seen your front door. You’ve got six locks on it.”
“Right. And when I leave my apartment I lock every other one. That way, I figure, any burglar is locking as many as he’s getting open.”
