Meet This Saturday at 8 a.m. at Eagle Leather - Kick Stands up at 9 a.m.
The 36th Annual Olympia Toy Run is this Saturday at 10 a.m., departing from South Sound Center, Sears Parking Lot in Lacey, WA. But many local riders are meeting at Eagle Leather Lakewood to depart for the ride. If you want to join in, meet us at 8 a.m. with your friends and grab a complimentary cup of coffee and a cookie. Kick stands up at 9 a.m.
This annual charity initiative has grown from a small endeavor to a huge event. Thousands of riders are expected to ride the streets of Olympia this Saturday, all to bring joy to kids on Christmas morning. Santa is even expected to make a few appearances! You can also expect great performances from the Seattle Cossacks Stunt Drill Team and the T90 Drill Team again this year.
All it takes to
join the ride is an unwrapped donation of a toy. Don't have a toy ready?
No problem - you can also pay a $10 entry fee for solo riders or $15
entry fee for couples. The final destination of the ride is Marathon
Park, Deschutes Parkway, Olympia.
toys and donations are forwarded to Olympia's Salvation Army for
distribution via their Toy n' Joy Shop. There, qualified parents from
Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater can browse age appropriate rooms and pick
and choose from among the donated items. (For information on applying
